David E. Richardson

David E. Richardson, Allen's brother, was also born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served a three-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil. While on his mission David was instrumental in the conversion of three Methodist ministers Saul Oliveira, Walter Queiroz and Helio Camargo. All three have served as LDS bishops, stake and mission presidents, and Regional Representatives. One of the ex-ministers, Helio Camargo, is an emeritus member of the Second Quorum of Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is currently president of the Sao Paulo Brazil Temple. Upon returning from his mission, David completed his studies at the University of Utah, where he received Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Metallurgy. He is recently retired from the aerospace industry.

Dr. Richardson has served in many Church positions, including a teacher of youth and adults, mission presi­dency, bishopric, ward and stake clerk, two stake missions, ward mission leader, three high councils, gospel doctrine instructor and service missionary. He presently serves as the High Priest instructor. David's first book, These were the Valiant, is a novel with a Church history setting. Other volumes of the series are currently being written.

In his travels Dr. Richardson has been able to personally verify some of the historical and archaeological evidences reported by professional archaeologists to determine which evidences should be included in these volumes.

David and his wife Elva are the parents of ten children (including two sets of identical twins) and are the grandparents of thirty-four.
